Summary
Cat's Pajamas handles order fulfillment, inventory management, accounts receivable, sales commissions, royalties, and sales/marketing information tracking. User-defined reporting capabilities and fast data-retrieval techniques provide up-to-the minute marketing and sales information. Database reconciliation and verification processes provide monthly income statement and balance sheet information for posting, including sales and credit journals, cost of goods sold, inventory value, and A/R value. Open-architecture file structures facilitate interfaces with accounting applications.
Publishers purchase only the optional modules that they need for handling consignment relationships, standing orders, eCommerce, EDI and PubNet orders, subscriptions, automated returns processing, document archiving for invoices and credits, deferred or post-shipment billing, quota-based sales commissions, third-customer sale-to logic, and many other specialized functions..
Cat's Pajamas has data export/import interfaces for other applications and for multiple vendors of credit card payment processing, shipping manifest systems, POS, Accounts payable, fulfillment services, and ASN systems. An ODBC-compliant Data Dictionary is also available for direct access to data files.
