Primary Competitors
Note 1: Publishers with sales under $250K most often use
QuickBooks. The two most popular
publishing specific solutions used are AnyBook and Publisher's
Assistant. Larger or better financed publishers in this market
segment favor more expensive solutions such as Acumen or Cats
Pajamas.
Note 2: In the market of publishers with sales of $250K to
$15M Acumen and Cats Pajamas each have over 160 clients. This
is 8x the clients of one competitor, 5x the clients of another and
3x the clients of a third competitor.
Note 3: Publishers with sales of $30M through $50M are
most likely to select IBS Bookmaster, Klopotek, or Publishing
Technology (formerly Vista). Each of these vendors has a
customer base of over 100 clients. Furthermore, a majority of their
customers have sales of $30M or greater.
Note 4: As of September 2006 Global Turnkey Systems is
owned by Klopotek.
