Permissions Software

Permissions software is for publishers that give and request permissions to use content. It tracks permissions given, to whom it was given and under what terms. Permissions software tell you who gave you permission to use specific content in your products.

Example 1: An author’s book may use a chart from a magazine. This software tracks the request for permission to use this chart, whether or not permission was granted and under what terms it was granted.

Example 2: Your author finds content from his book in another book. He contacts his publisher and an editor consults the permissions software to determine if the other publisher has permission to use the content from the author’s book.
