3. Implementation Costs - Employee Time for planning & implementation
- Temporary Help (if any) - many larger clients hire temps to enter data - such as royalty contracts - that can not be converted from their old system
- Consultants (if any) - Do you need to hire consultants to assist in the software implementation.
- Data Conversion
- Physical Inventory - we recommend that clients conduct a new physical inventory prior or soon after implementing a new system, although this is not required.
- Training - Onsite, offsite, online or self taught.
4. Ongoing Costs - Hardware Upgrades & Replacements
- Software Upgrades - some vendors include the cost of software upgrades in their technical support package, other charge extra for this - as much as 1/3 of the cost of the original software purchase.
- Annual Technical Support & Licensing Fees - normally 17% to 20% of the initial purchase price.
- Staffing Costs - Do you need to hire more employees to manage the new system?
